Acupuncturist & Chinese Herbalist
With Southern familial roots and as the 4th generation of Idaho cattle ranchers, Riley does not exactly fit the stereotype of what some might think of as a licensed acupuncturist and herbalist. As the son of a professional football player and collegiate coach and whose mother was the quintessential Southern California “weekend warrior” athlete, fitness and health were engrained in Riley from day one. From early on, nutrition, exercise and a focus on body-mind balance was always a pivotal aspect of his rearing. Originally from Portland, Oregon but able to call many parts of the country “home” due to his father’s profession he returned to Southern California over 9 years ago where his family had originally laid roots back in the 1980s.
At university, Riley graduated cum laude and pursued a triple major earning an Honors BS in Management, a BS in Marketing and a BA in Spanish. Along the way, he took many electives ranging from yoga to Qi Gong to practically the entire set of requirements to graduate as a pre-med student. Upon graduation, Riley entered the corporate world and had tremendous success rising up the ranks as an account executive for a large international non-profit and as a VP of Business Development for a children’s book publisher. While boardrooms, presentations, suits and constant travel kept him active and nourished his pocketbook it did not feed his soul. After 6+ years in the rat race he contemplated his next move.
He knew that his interests in nutrition, health, wellness, alternative healing, and medicine, along with the strong desire to serve and always learn and explore absolutely had to converge somehow. Riley discovered Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego and growing up in the family that he did, he was no stranger to acupuncture and alternative healing. It was a natural fit. Five years of study, 6 months of board exams and a few extra gray hairs later, he has never looked back.
Riley’s Office Hours:
Tuesdays: 1pm to 9pm, Wednesdays: 2pm to 9pm, Thursdays: 3pm to 9pm, Fridays: 9am to 3pm, Saturday: 9am to 5pm

Born in Orange County; sprouted in the Bay Area; grown in Portland; aged in New York, San Francisco and San Diego: Saloni’s life experiences have truly shaped her to have a passion for health, wellness, mind-body balance.
Saloni offers a personal, unique perspective on health and wellness, having had to manage her own chronic pain and health issues for more than a decade. She possesses a specific skill set coupled with extensive studies at Mueller College and a personal understanding of the benefits of releasing that which no longer serves you by reorienting your mind-body space to allow for maximum growth and success.
Having been diagnosed with a chronic condition in her teenage years, Saloni came to this fork in the road earlier than some. After spending years trying various allopathic treatments, she began to shift her focus to the benefits of alternative medicine. Through regular chiropractic, acupuncture and massage treatments, along with consultations and medications from Naturopathic, Ayurvedic and Homeopathic doctors, she began her road to recovery, returned to school and regained the ability to work at a pace that had eluded her for years.
Upon returning from a three-month trip to India where she received extensive treatment for her symptoms and had the time and space to go inward and explore how her gifts might best serve the world, she enrolled in the Holistic Health Practitioner Program at Mueller. There, she completed 1008 hours of study in various bodywork modalities, including but not limited to Swedish, Deep Tissue, Tui Na, Thai Massage, Reiki, Cranial Sacral Therapy and Prenatal Massage.
Saloni is a passionate believer in the mind-body connection and its role in our everyday coping strategies.
